Ina-Garten
Ina Garten is an acclaimed American cookbook author over the seasons. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa, which started in 2002. Ina began working for the White House as a writer of documents on nuclear energy as well as the budget. Although she found her job intellectually stimulating initially eventually she lost her interest in it and bought a tiny specialty store called Barefoot Contessa. Before selling the business, she spent an entire 18 years transforming it into a highly successful store. Other cookbooks followed, as did magazine columns. The Food Network television program also was launched and soon became a hit. In addition, she offers products ranging from food ingredients to storage containers and equipment. Ina was never to any cooking academy and has never been employed in restaurants. Ina is completely self-taught. She's known for her easygoing approach to cooking and entertaining. Some of her most popular recipes include the Skillet-Roasted lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
